Calendarize it! was originally created without support for WPBakery Page Builder (formerly Visual Composer). Please notice that you do not need WPBakery Page Builder to use Calendarize it!, but if you have WPBakery Page Builder you can take advantage of the built-in compatibility with this plugin and build your own templates using the popular drag and drop page builder.
We recommend you to visit our demo site Calendarize.it and check out the many features.

Is there any way to edit the accordion so there's not so much grey space to the right of every event? It takes up so much space on my site but half is just blank grey space.
It sounds like there is a CSS conflict (overwrite) of styles. If you submit a ticket at our Help Center we will be happy to review this.
Hi, I've just purchased the plugin and kudos on the great work. I just have a question. I'm using year view to display my calendar, and by clicking on a day an overlay appears is there a way to add a custom content to that overlay?? also is there a guide on how to add a custom field for this data in my event post edit page? Thank you.
Thank you for contacting us. There is no way (currently) to add custom information to the overlay. We are working on multiple improvements to the Year View. This article explains how you can customize the content in the Event Details Box, Venue Details Box and Tooltip https://righthere.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000313626-How-to-customize-information-in-Event-Details-Box-Venue-Details-Box-and-Tooltip- If you have the popular Visual Composer plugin you have even more freedom in regards to creating your own templates. You will also find an article about this in the knowledgebase.
Thank you so much for the prompt reply and the link. keep the great work.
Looking forward to purchase this plugin. Can you verify if I can insert a Map (address) to the event details, instead of Event detail box image? Thanks
Please notice that it is the Venue Details Box that contains the Google Map for the venue. However, if you have the popular Visual Composer (WP Bakery Page Builder) plugin you can create your own templates. You have 34+ elements to choose from. You can insert the venue map where ever you want.
Thank you for the quick response. My money on this plugin within next few days.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Great plugin, and I'm using quite a few of your add-ons, all great. One item I'm unclear about: If Editor builds event on front end, submits, then goes to the Edit gear, Editor is able to edit certain elements like excerpt and title via front end, no problem. But if they want to edit Venue or edit Organizer, ie, fix a mistake - there appears to be no way to do that on the front end - is that correct? Maybe I am missing a shortcode? Thanks very much, great Calendar!
Using Community Events allows the users to edit the event after submitting, but you can't edit the Taxonomies (Venues, Organizer and Calendar) from the frontend. What requires custom programming (we have not added support for this).
Pre-Sales Question: Dear Author, Your plug-in meets most of my requirements, but I want to confirm one feature. Can the front-end submission form for a community event be auto-filled with information from another WordPress plug-in? Currently I am using PinPoint Booking Pro to allow customers to book a venue for a time slot. I want the customers to be able to create a public event using Calendarize It! After completing a PinPoint booking, they will proceed to the Calendarize community event form, where certain information such as venue, date, start time & end time will be automatically filled in. Is that possible? Would the Links with Event Attributes Add-On support this? Thank you for your time and clarification.
Out-of-the-box there is no support for PinPoint Booking Pro, however, we did create the Links with Event Attributes add-on to a customer who needed this for some custom integration. I don't know if this would be possible. I guess anything is possible, with custom programming. I would have to ask you to submit this to our Help Center and we can get our lead developer to reply.
Thank you for your timely response. I have sent a message to your Help Center, and look forward to further clarification.
I will make sure we get it assigned to our lead developer.
Thank you again for your support. In the meantime, I wanted clarify which of the following features are supported by your plug-in:
1. You can add custom fields to the Community Events form and you can choose which of the default fields that are visible. And you can turn ON/OFF the different taxonomies. 2. NO that is not possible. Calendarize it! uses Taxonomies for filtering. The defaults are Calendars, Venues and Organizers. We have used the premium paid add-on Capabilities and Taxonomies to create custom taxonomies in our demo website. And then you can use the Taxonomy Filter add-on to add drop down filters. When you look at e.g. Month View the calendar will show ALL events within the time period (Month, Week, Day etc). We also have a Year View add-on. 3. Yes, you can add different attributes to the shortcode and filter on Calendars, Venues or Organizers (or any custom taxonomy you have created). 4. Instead of creating 4-5-6 pages I would offer the visitor to filter. However, if you want to create multiple pages that show different events that are filtered based on specific criteria this is possible. 5. Yes, look at our Event Tickets WooCommerce add-on. And we offer a free App for Ticket Check-in. 6. Yes, check out this demo event with ticket sales http://calendarize.it/events/copenhagen-street-dog-championship/ 7. No, there is no waiting list feature. I like the idea you can suggest the feature here. 8. Yes, the checkout process and emails with tickets are handled by WooCommerce. 9. Yes, tickets are emailed to the ticket holder after the purchase has been completed. 10. Yes, you can use our Social Sharing Panel add-on or any other plugin that allow you to share posts, pages, custom post types etc. I hope this helps you.
Ok great, happy to see almost all my needs are met. Just 1 more question I came across, in regards to the Member Profile for Calendarize it! Add-On. The description says a member can have access to his upcoming and past (RSVP'd) events. I do not want to use the RSVP add-on, just the ticket add-on, as all tickets will be paid. Therefore, I would need the member profile to show past & upcoming tickets that they have bought. Is this possible as well? Thank you again for your time and clarification.
Event Tickets WooCommerce is NOT connected to the Member Profile add-on. Member Profile and RSVP Events was created years before Event Tickets. We have thought about adding support in Member Profile for showing upcoming and past events that the user have purchased tickets to. However, this is currently not available.
Thank you for your clarification. Would this be something your team is willing to do via customization?
It is definitely a feature that we would like to add the question if we can get this scheduled soon enough for you. If not we can recommend a company we work with that can do the customization. However, I would suggest that you first submit your request to our Feature Request in the Help Center.
Thank you, it would be time sensitive. Who would you recommend for the customization of your plugin?
I'm sorry that I can't prioritize this at the moment. We work with these guys http://cloud.righthere.com/2V1H2V1z003c
Hi, any estimated time frame when the next big update will come?....I believe it was mentioned that a new feature will be a CSS Editor....Will this give us more control on customizing & formatting the Widgets & Event Pages?
We are working on it .. its a big task to apply this to all elements in Calendarize It!
Hi, for my project I need to show a calendar on every page (the mini) associated with one or more categories of post in asidebar. while in the home list in chronological order of posts in all categories. I can do it with this plug-in? show a popup when you click on the number of mini calendar in the sidebar? is responsive plug-in? The graphics of the post may remain that of the theme I use? i use magazone theme best regards
We do not support showing a pop up in the mini calendar in the sidebar. This is ONLY in the main calendar. However the main calendar is responsive, but putting it in to a eg. 250 px wide sidebar might be a bit too small :)
Pre-purchase question...have you or any of your clients (to your knowledge) used this in conjunction with Event Espresso? Event Espresso has their own calendar but I think it's limited. Event Espresso allows for people to register for an event and make payment, etc. Can I insert shortcodes into a calender event? So, if a specific event has a registration page I can just insert their (Event Espresso) shortcode into a calendar event I create with your plugin? I don't expect you to know the answer but figured I would ask in case you have experience. This calendar seems so much more intuitive for my needs.
Hello ... I haven't tested this with Event Espresso. You can easily insert shortcodes into calendar events as it is simply a custom post type.
With the External Sources add on, can I create different groups of feeds for different pages? i.e. All of my Houston calendar feeds on one page, and all of my Dallas feeds on another?
You can specify the calendar you want to show. That means if you assign a external feed to its own calendar you can also specify which feed to display. [calendarizeit calendar="name" feed="1"]
How can you make it show only feeds that are assigned to that calendar. I have a houston calendar that I have only assigned a few calendars to, but it shows every feed I add no matter what.
I see what you mean. I think that might be a little bug. Could you please submit this to http://support.righthere.com and I will have the lead developer look at this asap Monday. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Hi there. Is anyone working the trouble ticket desk? It has been 3 days. Just wondering. Problem is the month calendar is garbled when switching back from event view. Appreciate your taking a look. Logon to the site in development is in my trouble ticket.
Please tell me your ticket no. and we will look at it. I'm sorry, but it was a holiday today in the US..
Hello, I've purchased Calendarize It and successfully purchased External Event Source extension. But after I enter the API Key/info for both Meetup and Facebook and added the links for the calendars under Event sources and click "get" where it tells me the number of events nothing shows up on the calendar. I looked and unable to find specific steps or documentation on this.
Thank you for buying the add-on. It should be pretty simple - enter the URL and then click get ;) I will need to take a look at your site to determine if you have any conflicts. Can you please submit a ticket at http://support.righthere.com and provide wp-admin access.
Submitting ticket :)
Pre-Sales question: Is there a way to add a new event from the user facing side of this plugin? We are hoping to allow our users to create events without going into the wordpress backend. Tx
Per default the Administrator User Role is the only one that have access to all features in Calendarize It! for WordPress, but we have built in support for the following Custom Capabilities.
You will need a plugin for managing the capabilities in WordPress, or use our White Label Branding for WordPress, which has its own built-in Role & Capability Manager:
In Calendarize 2.0.2 we have added two new capabilities that makes it possible to hide the Options Panel and the License tab for users. Just use the following capabilities.
If you use our Free Add-on Calendarize It! Custom Taxonomies, for adding your own custom taxonomies you can also use the following custom capability:
Hi Can I set up an email reminder to people who book through this widget?
Currently there is no booking feature and that means no email reminder. It is a feature we are adding to our "register add-on".
Hi Author, Is there a way to create two separate events in one post and have them display separately? I would like to add Calendarize.it to our Staff Post Types and be able to add dates for their Anniversary (hired date) and their Birthday and be able to display them to our frontpage of "Upcoming Employee Birthdays" and "Employee Anniversary" Thanks, Elmer
Hi Elmer That would be an event with an arbitrary repeat. But you can't give them different titles. You will have to make two events ;)
How can I distinguish which to display on shortcode? The title will be basically just their names separated by two widgets that hopefully displays 1st with birthdate and 2nd anniversary date. Ex. with John and Jane as Staff with calendarize it. John's birthday is on 5/22/someyear, and his anniversary date in the company is on 5/30; Jane bday 5/25, anniv 5/08
birthday anniversary John 5/22 Jane 5/08 Jane 5/25 Tom 5/12 Ann 5/29 John 5/30
I'm just hoping to avoid creating separate events per staff, and be able to announce two separate dates in our Intranet front page. Thanks for your help. Elmer
Hello Elmer I'm sorry, but I still haven't figured out exactly what you want to do. Could you submit a ticket and provide us with access to wp-admin so we can have a look at this.
Hi again. I just sent the ticket for this. :) Thanks again for your time.
The provided user name and password will not allow me to log into the Demo area. I'm either stuck on "loading", or username is invalid.
I've just logged in on http://calendarize.it with the login credentials provided on the in the item description an don the calendarize.it website. Which browser are you using? It should work just fine in all modern browsers. Let me know if you still experience issues.
In the event details box and venue details box, When I attempt to change any of the values, then press save, the whole area fades and nothing happens. It never updates and I need to click on something else to get the regular screen again. This was working fine when I first started, but after entering about 20 events this started happening. I deactivated other plugins that I am using but that doesn't help. Any suggestions?
That sounds like a jQuery conflict. Did you add any other plugins? Or update your theme? You can try and disable ALL other plugins and then see if it makes a difference. If it does then try and activate one plugin at a time until you see the problem again. Submit a ticket at http://support.righthere.com and provide wp-admin access and we will have a look.
submitted a ticket
I've purchased the plugin, but always get a failed install message from wordpress. Please help.
Hello ilee1123 Thank you for buying the plugin. Codecanyon recently changed the way they deliver the scripts and plugins. Unfortunately this causes confusion for a lot of customers. Take a look at this image it might help you. If not please provide us with wp-admin access. You can submit a ticket at http://support.righthere.com and we will assist you.
Oh ok.. that makes sense. it's working now. thanks for the response.
facing problems with slow support and not effective one, i did had a better experience with other authors who solved all my problems in no time, this one i really think about exchange it with a better support which can help me solve all my problems my ticket id is 4905 my problem that i cant view the calendar and i need a detailed support not just "back to your theme developer"
Hello amrmorsey Thank you for buying the plugin. What is wrong with you? I'm sorry, but 2 days ago our developer wrote this to you:
We checked your site and there is an error with theme, the pages are not being fully rendered. It is missing the closing body and html tags, and the wp_footer section wich is needed by calendarize-it to work is not present. Please refer to your theme developer regarding this issue.First of all your theme was missing basic things that should be included. The developer hoped that this would solve the issue. In 8 out of 10 tickets we fix issue in other plugins and other themes. So therefore the developer of Calendarize kindly asked you to check with your theme developer to make sure that this was fixed and then we can continue. Of course we could just have done this for you, but then we first had to ask for FTP access and then fix your theme before we could continue to debug. Now it turns out that this unfortunately didn't fix the problem and we will of course continue to look into what causes the calendar not to show. So please have a little bit of patience and we will get this fixed for you.
Dear Right Here Still facing a very slow support no one can help the problem till now, kindly advise as my opened ticket is more than ten days now without any respond.
Recently I installed the update and now the page with the shortcode isn't populating with the calendar. It's like the plug-in isn't recognizing it. http://rescueandawareness.org/calendar/
Line 42: http://cloud.righthere.com/image/0E1R1d1j0w3Y and Line 340: http://cloud.righthere.com/image/3l3h1Z2X0h3S jQuery is added twice to your system and that causes the problem. I doubt that this just happened from only updating Calendarize it! as we don't add a version of jQuery. Please follow the steps I described in the frist reply and see if it makes a difference.
Hi - I am considering on purchasing your Plugin today...its been a pain to find a Calender/Event plugin which is simple enough to use, yet powerful enough to fit my needs on what im trying to do...So, far Calenderize It seems to be the best choice. I just have a few question before purchasing it though: 1) Regarding the "Event List"...I do not want visitors to display the full calendar/week/day view...I just want the default view to be the full "Event List" on my site....Is it possible to remove the other view buttons, and have the "Event List" as the only viewable option? 2) Can visitors to my site have the option to submit an "Add Event"? 3) Is it possible to customize the way the information, images etc., is displayed on the "Event Page" & "Event List"? 4) On the Side Bar Widget, is there an option to have a text link to "View All"..that takes the visitor to the full Event List Page? Sorry for all the questions...but, hopefully this can end my search for a Calender/Event Plugin! :) Thank you very much.
1) You can customize the navigation in the Options Panel. 2) No not from the frontend. They would to get the capabilities that is needed to submit events and its done from the wp-admin. The plugin does support custom capabilities. There is a knowledgebase article about this on http://support.righthere.com 3) You will have to customize the PHP template. You can add custom fields etc.. inside the Options Panel, but you can't move the image around etc. That require that you create a custom template. 4) I'm not sure I know what you mean http://calendarize.it/calendars/sidebar-sample/ - you can click on an event and then you go to the event details.
Thanks for the quick response!....Regarding #4 - basically, i mean from the widget is there a way to click to see the full Event List Page...For example, in the sample the widget shows a certain number of events...but, if i wanted to navigate to see the Full Event List Page..is there a way to include a "view all events" link from within the widget box - that can take me to that page? Hope that makes sense..Either way, you've been very helpful. thank you. :)
When you use the Calendar Widget you can have it link to the event list. You can't do it when you show a list of events. They will link to the individual event.
