This GDPR Cookie Consent Plugin is WordPress 4.9+ compatible.

Cookie Plus is a Complete GDPR Cookie Consent Solution for WordPress.

Cookie Plus blocks automaticallly all non-essential cookies from your website, ie no plugin or script will be able to add cookies in the user’s browser without consent. Cookies are added after the user has accepted cookies.

We have created Cookie Plus to provide you with the best tools to comply with the GDPR cookie consent.
You have many options at your disposal to show your consent popups of cookies to users by countries, for example countries of the European Union, etc. It is one of the rules of GDPR.

Cookie Plus has 5 Groups of Cookies available, or what we call “Cookies Categories” in such a way that your visitors can activate or deactivate the cookies they consider convenient.

Are you ready for GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)?

The cookies that identify an individual are classified as personal data under GDPR and the ePrivacy Regulation, and from 25 May, companies will therefore need to have a legal basis for processing this data.
Cookie Plus is a tool that helps you to fulfill that rule.

2 Methods to Block Cookies – 2 Métodos para Bloquear Cookies

1.Block All Cookies

All non-essential cookies will be automatically blocked until the user accepts the cookies consent, regardless of the group or category that they choose.

Only the cookies and scripts of the groups that the user has not accepted will be blocked.

How it Works? – ¿Cómo funciona?

You can use two popups for the cookies consent.

  1. Popup 1 – Cookie Consent Popup: The users can accept cookies by clicking on the yellow button “Accept All Cookies”
  2. Popup 2 (Optional) – Cookie Settings Popup: Use it so that your users can choose what categories of cookies they want to accept.

Geo Location – Geo Detection

You can show the cookies popup to users in countries of the European Union. Or show the cookies popup only to certain countries.

hi, thank you for your reply. Because we are using webtracker Matomo/Piwik, we have no Google Tracking ID. But to deliver the tracking code firtsly after accepting cookies, we had used GA code fiels (as shown in your screenshot). If you then will look in the code of the website GA Tracking iD ist empty. do you plan a filed to insert tracking code for other trackres as GA? Hi, how is the Google Tag manager integration working? Is your plugin looking inside the GTM container to block scripts by type of cookies (analytical, marketing) or is it blocking the complete GTM container before consent? I'm looking for a solution to block certain tags inside GTM and allow them to be loaded after consent. For example: https://www.cookiebot.com/en/google-tag-manager-gdpr/

Hi Max, Great plugin! This is exactly what I was looking for. :) However, I have a problem with Google Analytics. It seems that the plugin does not block the analytics cookies even though I’ve set up everything according to the instructions: the cookies are blocked by groups, the Google Analytics box is checked in the Analytics Cookies group and I’ve added the Tracking ID in Integrations. This is my website: https://visualcontent.space Do you have any ideas where the problem could be? Kind regards, Victoria

I would be happy to provide you with the information you need, but I would prefer to fix the problem without giving access to my installation. Do you have other suggestions about where the problem could be? I investigated further. I deactivated the MosnterInsights plugin which I use and found that Cookie Plus is not processing any analytics cookies at the moment. So probably I had not configured it correctly. Here are snapshots of my settings: https://ibb.co/album/j14QTv Am I missing something?

This is very strange, is the first time they report this problem, tell me, the other groups (4 and 5) are enabled? You could also use any of these two groups to use them instead of group 3.

Interestingly, the “Analytics Cookies” tab (group 3) appeared just by activating group 5. Then I moved the analytics settings to group 4 but I kept the default name “marketing cookies”. Now, groups 4 and 5 are enabled, group 3 is disabled, and still, if you open my website you can see that “Marketing Cookies” is missing and the “Analytics cookies” tab is visible even though this group 3 is disabled. - https://ibb.co/album/kogiFa I also tried to enable all groups. Group 4 “Marketing Cookies” appears when groups 3 and 5 are enabled. However, regardless of the activated groups, the only cookie which is saved is the one for accepting the cookies. I tested with Opera, Firefox and Chromium.

Hi, pre-sale question. Your plugin seems very easy to use and very nice to display. I'm looking for a GDPR consent solution. But to be fully complaint with GDPR, the regulation says that we need to block all iframes (like twitter cards, instagram, youtube embed) before consent. Your said in a comment that your solution prevents any plugin from creating cookies, but does it manage iframes too ?

  • MaxLopez

Hi michaeltourneux. GDPR does not force to block all iframes, but it does say that you should not set cookies without the user's consent. And of course, many times those iframes add cookies just when they are showing. That's where "Cookie Plus" comes in, preventing those iframes from adding cookies without the user's consent, does it make sense? That is what I understand so far of the Cookies Consent indicated by GDPR. Although we do have shortcodes to block the iframes or any code that you wish to hide until the consent.
https://image.prntscr.com/image/SBdCO48FSRyX8AmbGAYi1g.png [cookieplus_block_content] Content here [/cookieplus_block_content] [cookieplus_block_content group="-1" message="Your message"] Content here [/cookieplus_block_content] And you can also configure the popup to force the user to accept cookies, otherwise, the content of the website will be hidden behind the popup. https://image.prntscr.com/image/lk61uJHMQc6refjDFGA8RQ.png
    See last popup example:

Thanks a lot for your answer. You said : "That’s where “Cookie Plus” comes in, preventing those iframes from adding cookies without the user’s consent, does it make sense?". If someone doesn't accept the cookie consent panel, it will automatically prevent the iframes from adding cookies, I understand that point ^^. But just to be sure, GDPR said that we can't force someone to accept cookies, and the experience must be the same with or without consent. But if someone, for example, launch the youtube video without accepting the cookie conset panel. Will it still block the cookies ? I understand that there's a shortcode way to block "embedded code" but it's hard to add this everywhere on previous posts. If i'm sure cookies are blocked, without consent even if a user play a video. So i'm okay with your plugin and will probably buy it for my blog :-). And thanks again for your answers

"GDPR said that we can’t force someone to accept cookies, and the experience must be the same with or without consent." The user experience would not be the same if we block all videos and any other iframe, regardless of whether or not you accept cookies, do not you think? "But if someone, for example, launch the youtube video without accepting the cookie conset panel. Will it still block the cookies ?" If you have activated this option
    https://image.prntscr.com/image/5rG014YuRLC2qS0Bx9T4UA.png
, then yes, the YouTube video will not be able to create any cookies, but of course the video will be reproduced without problems and the user will continue navigating through your site as always, that is, we are not "saving data" without the user authorization. thanks .

    https://app.box.com/s/m5atosd2hhliu8pf5ok8v9esy492ac2b
    https://app.box.com/s/wa99mm0thy49t435lav5x8kxxmzv0tbd

Hello, I have two questions before you buy. First. I bought a plugin from another vendor that was not compatible with Dramhost's Varnish Cache. It was a terrible fight and only after asking for a fight, I got my money back. To not take the same risk, I would like to know if it is compatible, if it will work on my server. Monday. Does the plugin find all cookies on my site, or do I have to program something manual so that they can be detected and blocked? Thank you.

Doesn't seem to be working with cache when using country specific display (eg. the EU). For example, if you set the consent pop up to show on EU, if anyone visits first from any country outside the EU, the cache will store the page without the pop up firing. When someone visits the same page next from the EU, the cached page won't fire the pop up too. Any workaround? Using WP Rocket.

Hi AdameDahmani. I don't really know how WP Rocket works inside, but if the cache is saved in your wordpress system and not in the user's browser then it would be a problem what you tell me, and the only solution I can think of (It's not the best ) is to activate the popup for all countries, to avoid that problem. If the cache is stored in the browser I think that problem you mention should never happen since each user that visits has different cache in their browser is not it?

Cookie Plus causes a conflict with Sumo (https://sumo.com/wordpress): I had to deactivate Cookie Plus in order to connect with Sumo.
