This jQuery plugin allows you to zoom images on your websites. It includes 4 different zoom modes, so your websites visitors will be able to zoom images on Rollover, Click, Grab or Toggle. Moreover, this plugin is responsive and includes many awesome options to adjust zoom levels, add borders around the images, etc.
Can this be used dynamically, without knowing each pictures actual width and height? On top of that, can it be forced to not zoom in pass the images 100% size? I ask this, because some images in the demo seem to do this, where the zoomed version is blurry because it's zoomed in larger than the images native width and height. Would it be fairly easy to tie the zoom feature to a button instead of the whole image? Thanks.
Hello. You do not need to know the actual size of an image to use it with this plugin. The zoom quality depends on the size of an image. In the plugin options, you can set the percentage size of an image, so if the original image is larger, then the zoomed image will be high quality. You can also adjust zoom levels, so zoomed image quality depends on this as well. In general, you should not worry about the image quality, everything will look good on your site if you use quality images. This plugin is compatible with images only. You cannot zoom a button.
I meant, can the zoom feature be activated by a button/link/small image that is overlaying an image, instead of clicking anywhere on the original image to activate the zoom?
No, the plugin works exactly as in our preview. The zoom is activated when you hover the image with your mouse (or your finger on the phone/tablet).
