MailWizz allows you to specify bounce servers to automatically process bounces, but what’s more is that if you are using services like Mandrill, Amazon Ses, etc for email sending, then MailWizz does bounce/complaint/abuse processing automatically for you, you don’t have to do a thing.

Server requirements

  • Linux operating system (windows might work but not supported)
  • Apache Webserver – version 2.x
  • PHP >= 5.2 (php >= 5.4 recommeded for high delivery speed)
  • MySQL(>= 5.1) or MariaDB, with InnoDB storage engine.
  • Cron Jobs access (linux cron jobs not web crons)

  • We cannot provide general webhosting and/or general PHP support.
  • We cannot provide general programming or web scalling support.
  • We cannot help with issues from your own customization.
  • We cannot provide customizations that extended default app features.
  • We do not offer install or setup services.
  • We cannot provide fixes that are unique to your web hosting or server environment. If your hosting or server environment is different than what is listed in REQUIREMENTS section, you’ll need to determine if it will work before purchasing.
  • We try for fast response times but as described on our support tab, response time may be longer, depending on our current support queue. Additional notes

  • While MailWizz works just fine on shared hosting, there might be limitations, thus we suggest using a VPS.
  • Sending via SMTP will require having php’s proc_open and popen functions enabled.
  • Mailwizz is designed to work with php >= 5.2 but really, do yourself a good and use php >= 5.6, preferably >= 7.0

    How can I stop unauthorized domains to send mails and others like gmail, yahoo as sender ID. Since it hampers the reputation? You should consider SMTP password field to password protected in next release.

    Hello, For domains, you can have your customers verify their sending domains (feature in mailwizz enable it), this way they won't be able to send from free domains like gmail, etc. For smtp password field, its there since 1.4.4 ;) Thanks.

    Great. Please upload the recent version in CC. I am receiving an error when adding a tracking domain in servers. When I deselect it I receive the mail where url works, if I select the tracking domain url does not work and there is no option for putting code in validating servers. Am I getting this error, since using a lower version?

    Hello, This depends entirely of the way you send your emails and the content of your emails and so on, so it's hard to tell. I don't think you'll get too far with that vps though as it's just a super tiny vps. Thanks.

    Hi Twisted1919! I have added one client trough the panel and I'm getting this error when trying to validade the server. The client server is cursodecabeleireiro.net, but mailwizz are calling novonegocio.com.br (the server where the system are installed) May you help me?!     Hi, Everything looks okay in your message, the fact that you see EHLO www.novonegocio.com.br is totally normal since the application is installed on that domain. Your error, as the message says, it's the fact the authentication data si not good, you either have entered a wrong username or password, so double check everything. Thanks.

    Hi, Well you could use the GA tracking urls inside mailwizz without problems. Unfortunately there's no magic button to append your utm campaign tags for now, so it's all about formating your email template with the tracking tags in place.     Hi, To create a new page you basically need to create a new controller and load a view file in it. That view file can be empty and you will get your result. You can look at existing code already to achieve this.     Hi, No worries, you can read a bit about controllers here: http://www.yiiframework.com/doc/guide/1.1/en/basics.controller Why don't you just take an existing controller, rename it then open it and rename the class name too, remove all it's actions beside the actionIndex() one and do your thing in that action ? Please note that you'll have to study a bit how MVC works before doing anything, that is so that you don't break things :) Thanks.

    Hi, This is because the prices on all Envato marketplaces increased. Maybe you don't know but here we don't set the prices as we want, Envato does this for us.     not sure at this point, mailwizz main purpose is not transactional email, the fact that has this is an added benefit for using the application. anyway, chances are 50/50 to extend this functionality if it gets enough interest. thanks.

    Hello, We have purchased your script, but we are having some problems with the bounce handling. We are sending to a test-list with a few addresses that we know doesn't exists, but still they not all come back as bounces. Also, the emails that are being identified as hard bounces, are not placed in the email blacklist, meaning they still remain in the list for the next campaign. Very strange. Any suggestions?

    Hi there :) Bounces are detected based on a list of a few hundreds definitions, all of them the standard ones. If a bounce emails is not caught it is because the mail server returns an error that is not in the definitions list, thing that obvious is possible. Can you please open a support ticket about this and provide me the application log together with a csv containing the email addresses that don't bounce properly? This way i can test myself, view the error codes and add them to the list. For blacklisting, are you sure that hard bounces are not placed in the email blacklist? Please note that a blacklisted email is not removed from the list, it will only be marked as such and delivery will not happen for that email anymore. Also, another thing that really matters for bounces is the number of hard/soft bounces and hard/soft errors you allow from the backend panel. Each email must have at least that number in order for the application to give up on it. If you allow 5 soft bounces, the email will end up in the blacklist after the delivery fails 5 times with soft bounce for that email. Anyway, please open a support ticket so that i can investigate this properly. Thanks :)

    Hi, The application.log file is located under /apps/common/runtime directory. In next version you will see the application log directly from the backend panel. Also, i have just decided that the customer must have the chance to remove the bounce emails from the lists, therefore, in next version when you view reports about bounces, there will be a delete option to remove that subscriber from the list. Thanks.
