The Most User Friendly Responsive Magento Theme

  • Everything responsive, even all tables
  • All pages are customized: Catalog Pages, Shopping Cart, One Page Checkout, Multiple Address Checkout, Customer Account Pages and all other pages!
  • Custom lightbox effect for main product images and terms & conditions
  • Tabs on product page (displayed as an accordion on small screens)

Super Fast Loading Time

It’s not enough to just have a mobile optimised website, it’s vital that its performance meets customer expectations.

The importance of speed for mobile commerce

A 1-second delay in page load time equals 11% fewer page views, a 16% decrease in customer satisfaction, and 7% loss in conversions. (In dollar terms, this means that if your site typically earns £10,000 a day, this year you could lose £250K in sales).

According to Aberdeen Group

Loading Time Negative Example: How It Should Not Be

Performance Analysis by http://gtmetrix.com. Check your own online shop! To simulate various connection speeds (2G, 3G etc.), you need to create a free account.

Optimized User Experience On Tablet, Smartphone And PC

More than responsive! Elements are not just stacked on top of each other on small screens. Header, footer and content are optimized for limited space, to prevent endless page scrolling.

  • Touch enabled slideshow on home page
  • Touch enabled carousels for related products, up-sell products, thumbnail images on product page, new products widget, recently viewed products widget, recently compared products widget
  • Big, finger-friendly buttons / navigation on touch devices

  Compact Mobile Header (App-Like)

  • Just the most important things: Logo, Cart, My Account, Search, Main Menu

  • Cart Button: only visible if shopping cart is not empty

  • My Account Button: opens the whole my account navigation (Address Book, My Orders etc.) if logged in, else the user is redirected to the login page

  • Remember: Your customers want to see your products/content and not a oversized logo and a bunch of unnecessary links/buttons!

Smart Coloring

The configuration file gives you control over any color, box-shadow, border, text-shadow and border-radius of the theme (the “style”). Well, that’s nice. But who really wants to change all this values?

With Smart Coloring it’s easy. You can change the “Dominant Color” from green to a dark red and the “Base Color” from light beige to a light gray. All gradients and shades of the colors are calculated automatically. You have to enter only one value! See the result below:

Straight Forward Design

Sophisticated in its simplicity, clear, restrained and stripped of all unnecessary elements, the UX Pearlwhite theme is suitable for a wide range of online shops. Its design concentrates on the basics, presenting your products in the best light without distraction.

What Does UX Pearlwhite Have Over Other Premium Themes?

Many other Magento Premium themes focus mainly on creating an appealing home page, but do not maintain the level of design quality on the following pages. We go the decisive extra step: with UX Pearlwhite you can expect consistent quality and uniform design throughout your online shop, providing the optimum user experience down to the smallest detail.

Retina Display Ready

  • Use of icon fonts instead of images (icon fonts look sharp on retina displays)
  • Content images could be rendered in double resolution (configurable over local.xml)

Sub-Theming

UX Pearlwhite is – in Magento terms – a “design package”. This means you can create your own custom themes based on UX Pearlwhite.

Sass Enabled

Sass adds variables, functions, mixins and more to CSS, which makes the “Smart Coloring” of the theme possible.

Support For Different Image Formats & Styles

  • Rectangular and square format images are supported.

  • Choose between isolated images on white background and normal images with colored background. This will affect the spacing around images and if borders between images are displayed or not.

Available Languages

  • English (en_US)
  • German (de_DE)

More languages could easily be added over the Magento translation files.

Note: Category and product images are not included.

I would only like to say that UX-Templates has been really helpful with any problems I have had with the theme, and even went so far as helping me debug some of my own problems with Magento that were related to the theme. Great product, awesome support. Would buy again without hesitation. Edit: I am not tagged as "Purchased" because the theme wasn't purchased through my private account.

Hello, Do you know if there is any way of showing a "recently viewed products" panel in the same way it's possible to show the upsells and related products panels at the bottom of the product page? Trying to figure out if there is an easy way to do this... the rest works great :) Many thanks, Natacha

Hi Natacha, this is basically the same like adding the "New Products Widget" on the home page (see the documentation). But as widget type choose "Recently Viewed Products" (instead of Catalog New Products List) and under Layout Updates configure the widget like this: Display On: All Product Types Block Reference: Main Content Area Template: Viewed Products Grid Template

Hi, I liked your theme very much. Its simple and elegant. I have few questions before I buy this theme. 1. I sell jewellery, so my product photos are square. If i buy this theme, would you help me with necessary changes to CSS to display square photos rather than the current rectangle ones? 2. Is is possible to add a text block below New Products on homepage. This is to add about store information on home page . 3. Can you increase one of the product names in demo, I want to see how your theme manages & displays large product names. Cheers dt

Hi, 1. The theme sets only the width of the images (unlike the Magento default settings). The height is calculated automatically (preserving the aspect ratio). No CSS changes should be needed. 2. Yes. It's not a theme feature, it can be done with Magento "Static Blocks" and "Widgets". The "New Products" on the home page is also a Magento Widget. It's explained in the documentation how to add it. For adding a text block the approach would be similar. I can help you with that and I will complement the documentation with "how to add a custom block". 3. I increased one product name, look at the "Women" category. With "normal images" it's not a problem. The theme has also an option for "isolated images (on white background)". If you enable the option, dotted divider lines are displayed between the products (you can't see this in the live demo, but in the screenshots section). In that case a fixed height for the block below the image (product name, rating and price) needs to be specified, otherwise the horizontal lines wouldn't be "on the same line". Best regards

I have a suggestion for the next update (if you're taking them that is)... magento default's shopping cart sidebar should become a droplist under the cart button in both the mobile and desktop version of your theme... Also an FYI - the mobile version of the shopping cart seems to use vertical space in preference to horizontal space, makes the button placement hard to understand.

Hi, good suggestion with the dropdown under the cart button. I will implement this, but it won't make it into the next update. However, I update quite often, so it won't take too long. Regarding the shopping cart: do you mean to place the "remove" and "edit" buttons more on top, for example directly below the product image? The new badges are on my to do list for the next update. Thanks for your feedback.

with the shopping cart layout - i think there is a lot of space to play with.. you could move the product description and the delete icon to the same row as the product image.. and place the pricing, qty and edit/wishlist to under the image/title...

been viewing the live demo. how do select currency during the mobile display? a currency/language button on the top bar during mobile display and this theme would be perfect, or can i easily customize it on my own?

That customers have to choose their language / currency should be avoided. Automatic redirection based on the browser language / customer location to your appropriate store view is a better practice. This makes choosing the language / currency manually secondary and I would place the switcher in the footer.

i'm still sampling the demo. when i put the ipad in landscape, there is a currency and language selector in the top bar. but when i rotate the ipad to portrait or viewing the website from an iphone there is none. i needed those options and think there is enough space, if it is simple enough you got yourself another customer :)

Yes, it's simple to show the selector. As you noticed it's already implemented in the topbar, but only for large screens (iPad landscape and bigger). For smaller screens it's just hidden via CSS. You are right, for displaying the selector on the iPad in portait mode there is enough space, I will change this in the next update. In iPhone portrait mode there is unfortunately not enough space (don't forget: if you have some items in cart, a cart button appears additionally in the topbar). In iPhone landscape mode it's critical, depends on the width of your logo and languages...

  • monoselecta

totally forgot about the cart button. i don't need language option but currency is crucial. and my logo would only take as much space as the demo's. so i can either get rid of the account button and placing the link at the bottom (not favorable), or only display the currency selector when the cart is empty (ie. no cart button). this is only for iphone size display portrait and landscape, where space is critical. my rational is only if the currency is correct would someone place an item in the cart, so it is a one time affair. can you write the simple coding for me to update later? also if i purchase this theme, will i get future software version updates for free as long as you are providing it? thanks again.

Well, if you only need the currency switcher ...this is even in iPhone landscape mode not a problem. So just iPhone portrait mode left. I can send you the modified files, to show the currency switcher on iPhone portrait mode only if the cart button is not present. You will get future updates for free, this is normal here on themeforest! Best regards

Perhaps the best investment I have ever made in a theme. This theme is for no-nonsense serious e-commerce merchants who want to get job done without compromising on quality. It took me hardly 15 mins to migrate to new theme. This theme is equally good for developers who want a clean base for sub-theme & development. I am equally impressed with Sass technology and clean coding. With little bit of server optimisation I am getting sub 1 second page load time. This is a high quality theme with consistent design throughout, focused purely on superior user experience on any device and ultimately leading to conversion. Thank you Tobi for fantastic weekend support & best wishes!

Are the codes obfuscated? Are CSS & JS files minified? Why you don't give layered PSD of theme?

Hi, CSS & JS are minified in the demo shop for better performance. Of course you will get unminified versions to work with. I don't have a layered PSD file. This theme was designed directly in the browser. You don't need a PSD file, there are no graphics to change. All buttons , shadows etc. are done with CSS and the icons are fonts...

Magento comes with Authorize.net, Moneybookers, PayPal etc. integration. There are also a lot of extensions for other payment gateways available.

Hi! In your demo I see a Color attribute in the layered navigation which is not showing in the product detail view. Can you share how you made that happen? Hi, if you create a configurable product and choose color under "Select Configurable Attributes" you will get the dropdown on the product detail view. In the demo shop I created a second color attribute (color_nav) especially for the layered navigation, which has set "Use in Layered Navigation" to YES and "Use To Create Configurable Product" to NO. For the default color attribute (color) set "Use in Layered Navigation" to NO and "Use To Create Configurable Product" to YES. Now you have two color attributes. One for the creation of configurable products and the other one for the layered navigation. Best regards
