Hey Stef, I understand that you want to test the plugin first, if it's not working! About the pop-up not showing up. I looked at the console (Google Chrome F12) and saw the following:It says that your theme loads the 'Google Maps API' script multiple times. Can you de-activate the plugin (printing this scripts) to see what happens? Thanks in advance!

Hey Stef, What you can do is: 1. De-activate all plugins
    2. Activate the plugins 1 by 1 In this way you can maybe find the conflicting plugin. 3. If this not works, try activating a different Theme. If you want, I can do this for you, please send us then your login details to [email protected] Best regards, Vincent

It seems to be something with your theme also. Maybe you can send us a copy of your theme in a ZIP file through WeTransfer (to [email protected])? We can take a closer look at it then if you want? Hey antoniomecca, As far as we know, it is allowed to place necessary and functional cookies ('cookie tecnici') within the Italian law. With our plugin (when configured the right way) it is possible to set your default category to 'necessary and functional'. On a visitors first visit, only the cookies within the necessary and functional category will be placed. It is also possible to make your lowest category with only the cookies of our plugin in it (our cookies are necessary to let our plugin work) and set this category as your default category. We're also working on a new feature that makes it possible to enable the function that automatically only 'necessary and functional' cookies will be placed on first visit and that after start navigating (clicking) the website, the cookies of your default category will be placed (for example your ‘highest cookie level’ with all the cookies). I hope this information answers your question. Kind regards, Mariëtte

I'm trying to translate the plugin in Italian by the provided .pot file. I edited some words, edited Catalog > Properties > Language to Italian and saved as .po+.mo into .../wp-content/languages/plugins/. Now I have .../wp-content/languages/plugins/wpca.po and .../wp-content/languages/plugins/wpca.mo but I still cannot see translated words... I'll keep on trying, but if you could help me figuring out I'd be grateful! Thank you!

But if i check with "web delevoper extension" i see all those cookies (yes, I already blocked all those in the settings of your plugin): facebook: c_user,csm,datr,fr,lu,p,presences,xs adsense: _drt_,id twitter: _ga,_gat,_twitter_sess,auth_token,guest_id,remember_checked_on,twid,b_ucm_618616234,eu_cn,lang google plus: APISID,HSID,NID,PREF,SAPISID,SID,SSID,ACCOUNT_CHOOSER,GALX,GAPS,LSID Another big problem: if i refresh the page (with no action, scrolls or click) with Firebug too i can see all cookies loaded...! The second. The first will maybe help, because we're working hard to implement a shortcode instead of our 'Cookie Allow code' wrapper function also. This may work if the wrapper function doesn't work. About your addition: You mean that it only doens't work, when you're loggin in into FB, G+, Twitter? That may be the cause then, because wehen you are logged in (which is also a different situation), you may agree by placing cookies...(because you actively log in). Did you investigate this yet? Kind regards, Mariëtte

Does this function only work for logged in users? I have the same issue as reported above by smartology_frontend. It works when logged in, but the decline bar on blocked contentremains for new visitors even if accepting the cookies. I've reported this to support 1 week ago (then I thought it was related to the browser), I guess the GDPR deadline is challenging for everyone; but I would like to receive an update, because if this functionality is only for logged in users and the cookie preferences are stored in the user-database, then it's not going to work for my site.

    Hello, it's me again
I would like to understand where I'm wrong in setting the plugin on my e-commerce website:
    1. install the framework and the plugin
    2. find cookies on Chrome by following the guide: __zlcmid (for chat online)
_dc_gtm_UA-XXXXXXXX-X (for Analytics implemented with the Tag Manager)
    _ga (even Google Analytics)
_icl_current_language (to remember your language preference)
wp_woocommerce_session_XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX (should save the session of the cart, etc ..)

    3. Define cookie categories:
    - Required for the operation of the site and the WeePie plugin
    - Analysis and Optimization (insert codes Cookies Analytics etc ... Also I put the script in the Tag Manager in the "Grab your code")
    - Social Media and Online Chat (insert the number of Cookie Chat and script of the chat in the "Grab your code")

Now the plugin is visible and running .. apparently ...

The plugin should be preventing Cookies, however the online chat is always visible and also the real-time overview of Analytics creates a new visitor every time I change the page.

I need to block all Cookies before visitors accept Cookies or set their preferences.
Does anyone have any idea how you set the plugin or can tell me where I'm wrong?
    Thank you very much

Hey VikingKingSkin, Letting the plugin do it's job, requires sometime not only placing the cookies in the appropriate Cookie Properties. Some cookies/functionalities can only be blocked by using our cookie template functions like wpca_minimum_cookie_allow_level() and wpca_is_current_allow_level(). The last one is not documented yet, but we working on it! For your online chat I think you should implement the wpca_minimum_cookie_allow_level() wrapper function. For the real time I think you need to prevent the WordPress action/filter that is initiating the script that is causing these cookies Placing remove_action() and remove_filter() inside the wrapper function can be an option here. Also this topic we will add to our documentation shortly! Hope this info will help you out! If not, send us an email so that we can provide you with some more details. Please send us an email to [email protected] Best regards, Vincent

Hey Vincent I'm sorry but I have not fully understood the problem:

I find my website's cookies using the browser as shown (and I'm not sure to entered the cookies in the right properties) and then I entered the codes of Tag Manager and Zopim chat in their "Grab your code."

It gives problems to block chat and views in Analytics before and after the user has accepted or not cookies.

I await an updated guide and maybe even a video tutorial to get it right the correct setting of the plugin.

    Thanks in advance Davide

Hey Davide, Mariëtte here, We intend to improve an instruction about this certainly! In our new update (which we will submit within a couple of hours) we will bring out the new feature of using a shortcode instead of our 'wrapper' code. Maybe this will work for you. Please let us know if it doesn't and you have still problems with blocking cookies after using the shortcode. Kind regards, Mariëtte

Hello, Can someone edit their cooky preferences through this plugin? If someone accepted the cookies and then wants to withdraw their consent, or viceversa, how would that work? Thanks in advanced

Hello, We're working very hard on such a functionality (where website visitors can check/uncheck which kind of cookies they want to accept and can change this later on). We hope to launch this new feature within a few days in our new release. Kind regards, Mariëtte

We've tried to install the plugin on our server but don't get it working. It produces several "option not set for setting" errors. Our Setup: Wordpress: latest (WordPress 4.9.6) Theme Uncode WPML: No PHP7 php7.0-curl

Hello. Thanks for this plugin and all the various features it already includes. Is there a way to add any sort of geo-location or ip address-based limitation to this plugin? (Even if it's in combination with another plugin or code implementation?) We really only want to display the cookie notification/options to the countries that require it. Right now, we have to show it to ALL of our site traffic, regardless of where they are viewing the site from. Thanks!

Hello, Thanks for the compliment! About your question: We don't have a functionality for this yet. We will try to implement a solution for this in the further future (within a few months). Kind regards, Mariëtte
