- Fully responsive: The plugin adapts its UI and behavior to any device screen.

- Nice design: There are more than 30 graphic resources exclusively designed for this plugin.

- Three templates for the modal content: You can choose whatever you want to feature on the modals that are opened after a day is clicked, but we created 3 simple templates from when you can start.

- Ten toggles to choose: Also, you can choose the image of the toggle to be shown to make it for your style.

- Prepared to be multilanguage on ADMIN: With the use of .pot files, the plugin is prepared to be easily translated using softwares like Poedit.

- Clean & commented code: The code tries to be as basic as possible and there are comments on the most important parts.

- Future updates: We will try to update the plugin with new features along its evolution.

- SHORTCODE

As it seems the documentation does not feature information about the shortcode, for the moment I’m writing it here:

The shortcode is [xmas-advent-calendar] and you can place it wherever you want.

Once you place it, go to the Xmas Advent Calendar page on the admin and choose one of the last two options in the Type of Display setting.

New version 10-23-2017:

Admin changes:

You can set a date you want it to start working, not showing. You can choose if you want to show the calendar even it’s not working. You can simulate dates to see how it will work. You can change it to show 24 days instead of 25. You can choose your time zone in the admin.

    You can change the height on the css to whatever fits your needs. Go to the css located on /xmas-advent-calendar/public and look for the following and change the height value: .xmas-advent-calendar__modal__content { position: absolute; top: 165px; left: 0; bottom: 0; right: 0; width: 600px; height: 460px; max-width: 95%; max-height: 95%; margin: auto; padding: 20px; border-radius: 8px; background-color: #c73336; -webkit-transform: translateY(-2000px); -ms-transform: translateY(-2000px); transform: translateY(-2000px); }

    I love this plugin. Unfortunately it seems like it isn`t possible to have both sticky calender and big calender available at the same time. I think this would be a huge improvment. For my example I would love to use a christmas page for the big calender, but would also allow people to gain access from any other page. You should really consider making this an option! Another nice feature would be to upload cutom pictures for the calendar windows. Apart from that: I really enjoy working with your plugin!

    Hi, and thank you for this great plugin, it saved me a lot of work. Is there an option, so it works more like the real world calendar? All past days are open and accesible, but the today "door" can be opened just once? I've used the solution you answered to the tresolCH question and it helped me to come close to what I'd like to achieve. Just, is it possible that the today "door" could be opened only once? It closes again after the modal is dismissed. Cheers

    Hi, I don't think we could do the open today only once because then we would need some kind of login or storing the ip or something like that in order to know if that user has already opened that door or not.

    Hello, I have installed the plugin both manually and via the plugin upload page but I am given very limited options. As many others are saying. I can only edit the 'allow past days' and 'past days opened'. Running this on PHP 7.0.8. This is clearly a common issue, please could it be fixed as currently I cannot output the calendar. Thank you, Melissa

    I bought you plugin and i really liked it. We have filled a youtube video inside each door. If someone opens a door and plays the video and is switching to another door the first youtube Video is still playing at the background. At this situation there are two simultaneous audio playing at the same time. Is there a way to kill the content from the first door completely if someone is opening the second door?

    Hi! as some other client asked for, I finally came up with a solution. First all you need to use this format: https://www.youtube.com/embed/ONyXSnL2LtA instead of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ONyXSnL2LtA Also, you have to go to /xmas-advent-calendar/public/js/xmas-advent-calendar.js and add the following code, inside the function that goes after the comment "//close the modal", line 129 aprox. var iframe = document.querySelector( '.xmas-advent-calendar__modal-code[style="display: block;"] iframe'); var video = document.querySelector( '.xmas-advent-calendar__modal-code[style="display: block;"] video' ); console.log(iframe); console.log(video); if ( iframe !== null ) { var iframeSrc = iframe.src; iframe.src = iframeSrc; } if ( video !== null ) { video.pause(); }

    [at]kingofmusik: You can hide every single day by adding „display: none“ via CSS to [data-id="number"] which means: For example, if you wanna hide the 2nd of December, do it like this: .xmas-advent-calendar__day-wrapper[data-id="2"] { display: none; } More days together – this way: .xmas-advent-calendar__day-wrapper[data-id="1"], .xmas-advent-calender__day-wrapper[data-id="2"], .xmas-advent-calender__day-wrapper[data-id="3"], .xmas-advent-calender__day-wrapper[data-id="4"], .xmas-advent-calender__day-wrapper[data-id="5"] { display: none; } Good luck!

    Hi, our problem is, that each new day, we need to login to WordPress Backend and open the day. Otherwise we can't see the current door. We would see only the door from yesterday clickable. And not the today's door. If we go to simulate we can open every day according the settings choose day to simulate. We need a solution that this will work without simulation. Also we do not want to login each day to the backend to clear cache so our users are able to open the correct door. Thx for your help

    Well url.tld/wp-admin is the backend of Wordpress, and "open the day" url.tld/wp-admin/admin.php?page=xmas-advent-calendar&action=edit&day=4 for example. I think it is a cache problem. Timezone we have selectet Europe - "Zürich" that is actually UTC‎: ‎+1:00.

    Well, this calendar is made that each day user can open a door. But this does not work until we clear cache. This we have to do each day again and again. Otherwise, the current Day will not open, because somehow the site has in cache the wrong day. That would be always yesterday. .... For example today i had to clear cache because it was showing still the 5. of December, but actually, we already have 6. of December. If we do not clear cache it want change to the current day. We waited once until evening to see if it is a time zone problem. but also at evening, it shows still the door of yesterday and not the current door of the day. Till we clear cache.

    I see. But from what you are saying, if it's a cache thing, how can I solve it on the code of my plugin as it seems to be a "server/other plugin" configuration? I'd really like to help you but I don't know if this is something we can solve from the plugin side.

    I'm sorry but I think there is a misunderstanding. The plugin does work like it should, the problem is in your site (or the config of it). The cache is not something I can control on my plugin so this is something related either to another Wordpress plugin or related to your server/site. So you'll need to ask about it to the developer of that other plugin that might be doing something on my plugin or check the settings of the cache in your site. When you say "clear cache", do you mean on your browser or on your server/wordpress site?

    Hi, when you select the option "Past days are opened" all the flaps are open as the option indicates in its name (so this is the common behavior and this does not mean that the user can click on them). For the issue on your backend, if you installed it on a new Wordpress then maybe you are experiencing a "bug" that other buyers also found. Send me an email and I'll send you the corrected version of the backend file that has worked for the other buyers. Thanks.

I would like to add a Contact Form 7 shortcode, but it always get's filtered. Yes, I have tried to add it in the "visual" and "raw html" tab. In both cases it get's filtered away. Wordfence is disabled. I have also tried to remove "apply_filters('the_content', ....) but then the entire shortcode parser is disabled. It excecutes the shortcode when I put it in the database field, but when I edit it, it adds the escape \ slashes.

    I'm just checking it and it seems the css I send you is not there. Could you try to add it again?

    Ok, the outside the media queries, search for this: .xmas-advent-calendar__wrapper--big { max-width: 900px; max-height: 900px; margin: 20px auto!important; width: 70vw; height: 70vw; padding: 1%; border-radius: 2%; } and add this: .xmas-advent-calendar__wrapper--big { max-width: 900px; max-height: 900px; margin: 20px auto!important; width: 60vw; height: 60vw; padding: 1%; border-radius: 2%; } also look for this inside (@media (min-width: 900px)): .xmas-advent-calendar__wrapper--big .xmas-advent-calendar__day-text { font-size: 74px!important; } and replace it for this: .xmas-advent-calendar__wrapper--big .xmas-advent-calendar__day-text { font-size: 50px!important; } finally, look for .xmas-advent-calendar__wrapper--big .xmas-advent-calendar__day-text { position: absolute; top: 20px; left: 20px; width: 62%!important; height: 60%!important; font-size: 7vw!important; font-family: 'titan_oneregular'; color: white; text-align: center; -webkit-touch-callout: none; -webkit-user-select: none; -khtml-user-select: none; -moz-user-select: none; -ms-user-select: none; user-select: none; cursor: default; } and replace it for this: .xmas-advent-calendar__wrapper--big .xmas-advent-calendar__day-text { position: absolute; top: 20px; left: 20px; width: 62%!important; height: 60%!important; font-size: 5vw!important; font-family: 'titan_oneregular'; color: white; text-align: center; -webkit-touch-callout: none; -webkit-user-select: none; -khtml-user-select: none; -moz-user-select: none; -ms-user-select: none; user-select: none; cursor: default; }

    I'll try this in a bit. But a much BIGGER problem! The calendar days don't open as they should. I have it set on 2016-12-01 but today, on the 2nd, you can not open day 2! Please let me know asap what the problem is!! I am using this plugin for a client and it can't keep misbehaving like this.

    I did what you said above and the calendar is now placed in the middle of the page - thank you! It's still something wrong with the calendar days tho. I can now open day 2, but it was more then 12 hours late and yesterday, on day 1, it was not 12 hours late so I don't think it has anything to do with server time settings or something like that but rather some error within the plug-in. Please take a look as I need it to work tomorrow and not be 12 hours late since my paying client will be deeply unsatisfied. Thank you.

    Hi, try to add this on xmas-advent-calendar/public/partials/xmas-advent-calendar-public-display.php before anything else (change UTC for the timezone you need): // set the default timezone to use. date_default_timezone_set('UTC');

    Hi, UTC is the timezone we have here in Sweden (+1). How do I know if it will work now? I have to be sure tomorrow. If it's about the timezone then why did it work earlier in the day on Dec 1st?

    It still doesn't work. Day 3 can not be opened and it's 09.50 local time. What is wrong?

    Please help me find a solution to this asap. When I tested this in November it worked but now on December it doesn't and as I mentioned earlier I've installed it on a clients site. They are not happy. I feel really bad for buying something for them that does not work. I've also tried what I could find from visuellepoeten on this matter but that did not work either. Please help.

    There is no option on the settings but you can always use css as I told to other customers. To do so, go to xmas-advent-calendar/public/css and add the following: .xmas-advent-calendar__day-wrapper[data-id="25"] { display: none; }
